Genome Barks Podcast - Dr. Marc Kraus on Canine Cardiology
This week on Genome Barks, we welcome Dr. Marc Kraus, a faculty member at Cornell University with a specialty in veterinary cardiology.  Recorded at the August 2008 Breeders’ Symposium held in Syracuse, New York, Dr. Kraus talks about heart murmurs in puppies and the the various treatment options that are currently available.  Dr. Kraus also discusses the best age to begin screening for heart disease in the dog, and the importance of knowing your pedigrees and the health history of a breeding pair.

Genome Barks Podcast - Canine Lymphoma Cell Lines as a Research Tool with Dr. Steven Suter

This week, Genome Barks and Lee Arnold, vice chairman of the AKC Canine Health Foundation, welcome Dr. Steven Suter of North Carolina State University, who is currently working to develop canine lymphoma cell lines.  These cell lines will greatly enhance lymphoma research by providing a research tool to study the disease on a cellular level and determine the molecular behavior of lymphoma.
